Despite this though, we appreciate that minor fixes & maintenance are still required to maximise the stores life. What is a maintenance or service agreement?

A maintenance or service agreement with Emtez is a plan of action for us to manage your manufactured item and ensure that all hinges, mechanisms, and sumps are working as expected, while continuing to do so until either the next servicing or for an extended period of time. Plans can either be taken out as and when required or on a retainer.

Do you offer different tiers of maintenance?

Right now, all servicing agreements are evaluated on a project-to-project basis. For a no-obligation quote on servicing of your stores, please contact our office by email at sales@emtez.co.uk or by telephone at +44(0)1506 430309.

Do I have to take out a maintenance plan?

No, there is no obligation take this out at all. Although it is offered during purchasing, and there is the option to take this out at a later date, it isn't something that you must take. We recommend it to prolong the lifespan of your product, but we appreciate some teams will prefer to maintain these themselves. That being said, we cannot take responsibility for any maintenance that occurs from external sources.

I've already bought a product and didn't take one out, can I look at this now?

Yes, regardless of when you bought the product, we would be happy to look at the product and see what we can do to prolong its usability.

What servicing is available?

Depending on the level of work required or agreed to, a general list of work for on-site maintenance would be:

  • Full Product Inspection
  • Mechanism Maintenance & Oiling
  • Evaluation of Replacement Parts
  • Retrospective Fittings
How will I know my product has been serviced properly?

You will be provided with a report after the servicing has taken place, outlining the work that has taken place, including explanations on what was done and why, giving you confidence and certainty.

Can you come to my site so the product doesn't need to be sent back?

We can absolutely visit your site. Depending on the level of maintenance required, we will evaluate with your first before recommending whether the work can take place on-site with you or if it should be brought back to our factory for maintenance.

How frequently can you service?

We can be flexible in providing servicing support whenever you would like us to, although we would generally recommend servicing your bunded store on an annual basis to ensure a high working standard.

If your steel-manufactured items come with a 20-year guarantee, why would I need servicing or a maintenance plan?

We can appreciate that some environments, including general wear & tear, can be highly testing on a unit's condition. We are here to help extend the lifespan of your products to ensure your investment is maximised.

Can you do maintenance or servicing on my current store I purchased from a different company?

Unfortunately not. As we aren't the manufacturers, we wouldn't want to take responsibility of another product. We only maintain & service Emtez-manufactured items.

Repairs and spare parts

Our servicing team can carry out basic work evaluating themechanisms to ensure they all work as expected. Where major work is required, our team can work on these units from our factory in Livingston to rejuvenate the unit. Servicing will help to extend the product's lifespan while making sure that the product stays compliant, secure, and fit-for-purpose. Spare parts can also be arranged to be sent out where required if your team is comfortable with
the repairs themselves.
