In partnership with our North American distributor, Speakman®, our independently certified ANSI Z358.1 compliant tepid water emergency tank shower has been awarded New Product of the Year 2017 at the National Safety Council Congress & Expo by prestigious OH&S magazine; Occupational Health & Safety.

This is great recognition for the tank shower and follows on from the successes earlier this year when the tank shower was awarded 3 separate, independent testing certificates; American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the three European Standardisation Organisations (CEN, CENELEC, ETSI).

Empteezy worked with IAPMO R&T, North America’s premium plumbing and mechanical product certification agency to demonstrate that the SE-VTS-1 tank shower, which distributes 75.7 litres of temperature regulated water per minute for 15 minutes met with ANSI standard Z358.1-2014. Empteezy also worked with Applus+ Laboratories to verify the product’s compliance with the ANSI standard.

Applus+ Laboratories also tested the emergency tank shower to verify its compliance with the European Norm (EN) standard for one piece of safety equipment.

Bruce Wishart, founding director of Empteezy, said: “It is a great honour to win this award in recognition of the time and effort we have put into creating a top quality safety shower, we strive for excellence and are thrilled to have won.”

Now fully compliant with two international standards (ANSI and EN) and verified by two trusted independent test bodies, the tank shower is set to achieve international recognition within the emergency shower and decontamination industry. The recent addition of the award from OH&S magazine; Occupational Health & Safety, is further evidence of the standards Empteezy are setting with their decontamination equipment.

The Occupational Health & Safety New Product of the Year Award is now in its ninth successful year. The award program honors the outstanding product development achievements of health and safety manufacturers whose products are considered particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve workplace safety.
